Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Delhi
Welcome to India's vibrant capital! Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After freshening up, head out for an evening stroll at the iconic India Gate — spectacular when illuminated at night. Explore the nearby Connaught Place for coffee, shopping, and street food. Enjoy a warm welcome dinner at a curated local restaurant. Overnight Delhi.
Delhi Sightseeing — Old & New
A full day exploring two faces of Delhi. Morning — Old Delhi: the mighty Red Fort (UNESCO), the grand Jama Masjid (one of India's largest mosques), and a thrilling cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk — passing the spice market, silver lanes, and street food stalls that haven't changed in centuries. Afternoon — New Delhi: the soaring minaret of Qutub Minar (UNESCO), the serene Humayun's Tomb (UNESCO, which inspired the Taj Mahal), and a photo stop at India Gate. Overnight Delhi.
Delhi → Agra (230 km, ~3.5 hrs)
Drive south on the Yamuna Expressway to the Mughal city of Agra. After check-in and lunch, explore the imposing Agra Fort (UNESCO) — a red-sandstone citadel where Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing at the Taj Mahal. At sunset, head to Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) — the most romantic and uncrowded spot to see the Taj Mahal silhouetted across the Yamuna in the golden hour. Overnight Agra.
Taj Mahal at Sunrise → Fatehpur Sikri → Jaipur
Rise early for the experience of a lifetime — the Taj Mahal at sunrise (UNESCO). As the morning mist lifts over the Yamuna, the white marble glows in shades of pink and gold. Explore the symmetrical gardens, the inlaid marble tombs, and the mosque within the complex. After breakfast, drive to Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO) — the ghost city built by Emperor Akbar, featuring the Buland Darwaza, the Jodha Bai Palace, and Salim Chishti's shrine. Continue to Jaipur. Overnight Jaipur.
Jaipur Full Day — The Pink City
A complete day in Rajasthan's capital. Drive up to the hilltop Amber Fort (jeep ride available) — walk through the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) and the Ganesh Pol gateway. Explore the City Palace with its museums of royal artefacts. Marvel at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the stunning 5-storey facade with 953 windows. Visit the Jantar Mantar (UNESCO) — an open-air astronomical observatory from 1734. Evening: shop at Johari Bazaar (jewellery) and Bapu Bazaar (textiles, lac bangles, leather juttis). Overnight Jaipur.
Jaipur → Delhi / Departure
Morning at leisure — enjoy a final Rajasthani breakfast and any last-minute shopping. Drive back to Delhi (280 km, ~5 hrs via NH 48) for your onward flight or train, OR take a Jaipur–onwards flight if arranged. Alternatively, extend your journey further into Rajasthan or connect to another destination. The Golden Triangle tour concludes, leaving you with 4 UNESCO sites, timeless memories, and a taste of India at its most magnificent.
